So I think I have become the internets #1 raving knicks fan on blogs such as theknicksblog.com

Danilo Galinari or Gallinari looked good last night, for those of you who don't know, he was teh Knicks pick out of Italy this last draft

But on some serious Knicks business...Lebron is coming to the promised land. Period. 2010 equals Lebron's time to shine, Lebron....if your reading this - your going to be the greatest player in history, and your going to be wearing a jersey that reads NEW YORK - the greatest city in the world. Period.

New York has a Championship within 5 years. Bet.

I have to go do school work now, or else i am an epic fail.

Chicken San Franchese - Ape Status

First off, I'd like to give a big shout out to all of my millions of readers out there, if it weren't for you, I'd still be sleeping on that futon in my mommas basement in Wantagh all day, thanks for that.

So I'm all settled in, I live in a upstairs apartment in a victorian home in West Oakland, or Oak-Town to the locals. Despite missin my fam & friends a ton, I can't complain, my roommate has been the man, showing me the ropes of the hood. This neighborhood is funny, because of its proximity to the West Oakland Bart Station there is a mixed up demographic, Oakland has had a tough history within the last 30 years but there is a heavy gentrification going on. The West Oakland change has the early characteristics of a Williamsburg, Brooklyn or Hoboken revitalization, or at least I think (or hope) it does.

So Friday night and Saturday I worked the Emerald Bowl Events as my first assignment at Cal, it was bananas. The new co-workers are wonderful people, all very welcoming and friendly.

I'm looking forward to starting work officially on the 12th - school on the 6th - I'm kinda bored but I think I should do my best to enjoy this time off.

Friday night was great, we held a donor event at the Mariott 4th Street & Market - I had the opportunity to meet a lot of great folks.

Saturday we held an event at Gordon Bierch Brewery & Restaurant down by the AT&T Park - The Cal Band showed up in front of the restaurant, with a backdrop of the San Francisco Bay and the Bay Bridge they played for an hour straight! It was unreal. About 200 fans walked with the band from the event down to the baseball field.

After the game I went home and crashed - I spent the whole day today setting up my bedroom - Ikea is the devil, they drain you of your unique personality then feed you swedish meatballs on your way out. Oh yah, and when you get home you need to spend another 2 hours putting your low end furniture together! But it does look kinda nice now that its done.

I'm looking forward to seeing some old friends for new years eve, my old buddy Tariq from Grand Valley is coming out and I'm hoping to get up with Ben and CJ NYE as well. Thank god the Bart is running til 3am that night, so clutch. The Bart is great, the advertising on board is even better, for example, godridesbart.com is one that I saw tonight.

Other than that, I've just been basically exploring San Fran & East Bay, and I also saw a few flicks - Milk, for one, amazing story I didn't realize how many lives he has saved.

I'll tell ya what, Mickey Rourke is an ape, but he rocked his role as Randy "The Ram" - Marissa Tomei was good too (so hot) - maybe it's just that she reminds me of the Long Island girl next door. Overall great flick - reminded me of Monday Night Raw back in the day, mixed with an ABC After School Special.

What a Christmas...

I may be going to go out on a limb here, this has been the best Christmas, or week leading up to a Christmas ever.

I am in New York City - the #1 place in the world! My family and friends are all doing great, healthy, happy, and living progressively. The family who are outside of New York, Momma, Sissy, Shohny, Brudda, Niece, and Sara (and sky) are all living incredible lives with their very own families. It's still a time of growth for everyone and in my eyes, we are all going to be together for many, many holidays in the near future, and I look forward to that day.

So, tomorrow morning I'm at JFK at 6:00am - flight JFK - SFO departs (hopefully) at 8:00am and I'm in San Francisco at 12:04pm - I'm grabbing up my two giant blue hard shell bags and hopping on the Richmond BART, I will get off in West Oakland, walk 1 block to my new crib, drop off my suitcases, set up my laptop, blast Zombie Nation for 5 minutes to shake off the jetlag and walk back to the BART headed back into San Fran, I'll get off at AT&T park for a 4pm staff meeting at the Marriot across the street and then stay in a room with a new co-worker, 7am call time for the Emerald Bowl Bear Backer events, 1 at Gordon Bierch restaurant and the other is the Athletic Director suites. The Emerald bowl is Cal vs. Miami - it will be on ESPN 5pm Saturday Dec. 27th and is the only college football game on primetime Saturday night! So be sure to check it out and cheer on the California Bears! http://emeraldbowl.cstv.com/

So thats this weekend in a nutshell, Sunday I'm sure I'll find a craigslist bicycle and explore the Bay Area. I'll post pictures and write another entry on Sunday night.
